Making a Difference for Our District
91 books (and classes for E-book instruction) were provided for student learning activities.
We funded a preschool readiness program for children of low-income parents who were enrolled in the district’s adult education classes.
Homeless for a Night
Irmo High School Students raised awareness of homelessness by spending a night in a cardboard shelter. As an entrance “fee” to the event, each person brought food items for donation.
Math Matters Clock Auction
Benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Snack Pack Program, students use their math skills to create unique clocks that were subsequently auctioned.
To foster a safe environment for students with heart issues, the Foundation provided defibrillators to Ballentine and Lake Murray Elementary schools.
Arts & Cultural Experiences
Middle school and high school students enjoy a day of dance instructed by professional performers. Students put on a public performance that evening.
Science & Technology
Blazing a Trail with iPods
We helped purchase iPods for an interactive geography program. The iPods were used to guide students on an adventure where they virtually blazed the Oregon Trail to Oregon City.
